Seoni is about 475 km from Indore by road, or about 16.5 hours on the daily Penchvalley Express, which leaves Seoni at about 8:15 pm and reaches Indore at about 12:45 pm the next day. A Seoni student who chooses Indore will live in Indore, so the choice of institute shapes their whole year away from home. This page is for families in Seoni, Lakhnadon, Keolari or Barghat who have decided their child will move away for JEE or NEET coaching.
Why the decision is really about the next one or two years
Once a child moves away, the coaching institute becomes the main adult presence in their week. It decides whether a slipping student is noticed in a week or in three months, and whether parents hear about it from a report or from a bad result. For a family 16 hours away, that matters more than the name of the city.
Why some Seoni families choose Indore over Kota
Kota is the name most families hear first, and it has good institutes. Indore offers experienced JEE and NEET faculty while your child stays in Madhya Pradesh, with the same language and food, and with one train from Seoni that needs no change. You can board in the evening and be at the institute the next afternoon, without changing trains on the way. Indore is a large, safe and well-run city, often ranked India’s cleanest, so a student living alone has hostels, hospitals and daily needs close by. Why distance makes a small batch more important
From Seoni, a parent cannot visit every few weeks. So the institute must notice a missed class, a test score that keeps falling or a student who has gone quiet. In a batch of 150, that rarely happens. At Pramana every batch has at most 40 students, and every 20 students have a named mentor who meets each one for 15 minutes every week. Parents in Seoni get a progress report every fortnight by phone or WhatsApp, covering chapter readiness, test trend, attendance and the mentor’s note.

Scholarships: why the test matters more from Seoni
When a family is also paying for a hostel and long train journeys, a scholarship makes a real difference. The free online Prashast scholarship test runs from 31 October to 30 November 2026 and can be taken from home in Seoni. It awards tuition scholarships of 25%, 50%, 75% or 100%, and the top 10 who meet the criteria also get free hostel and meals. Scholarships are confirmed after an interview in Indore.
