Foundation Course for Class 9 and 10 in Indore

By Priyanka Jain, Admissions Counsellor at Pramana Institute

Pramana’s Foundation Program is for Class 9 and 10 students who want a strong base in maths and science before they start JEE or NEET preparation in Class 11. It runs in the evening, after school, at Geeta Bhawan Square, Indore, in batches of at most 40.

Why Class 9 and 10 decide how Class 11 feels

Class 11 is where most JEE and NEET students first feel lost. The jump is not only in the amount of material. Physics needs algebra and graphs to be automatic, chemistry needs ratios and units to be second nature, and every subject expects a student to reason through a problem instead of recalling an answer. A student who builds those habits in Class 9 and 10 starts Class 11 learning new ideas. A student who did not spends the first months catching up on old ones.

Why foundation is not just starting the JEE syllabus early

Rushing Class 11 chapters into Class 9 is a common mistake. It produces students who know formulas they cannot use. Our Foundation Program follows the same CRM framework as our senior batches: concept-first maths and science, reasoning before formulas, regular tests with error analysis, and steady study habits. The aim is understanding that lasts, not a head start that fades.

Why it should not cost the board exam

Class 10 boards still matter, for confidence, for school, and for the family. Our Foundation syllabus is designed at an advanced level, above Class 9 and 10, so students get ahead before Class 11. Classes run in the evening, so school is never missed.

Why a small batch matters at 14

Younger students rarely ask for help on their own. At Pramana every batch has at most 40 students, and every 20 students have a named mentor who meets each one for 15 minutes every week. Parents get a progress report every fortnight. A gap in Class 9 maths gets noticed in weeks, not at the end of the year.

Our faculty: Kumar Sir (Physics, IIT Kanpur, 25 years, ex-Allen), Abhishek Jaiswal (Mathematics, IIT Roorkee, 18 years), Kokil Jain (Chemistry, IIT Kanpur, 14 years), Dr Hemant Upadhyay (Zoology, 18 years, ex-Allen) and Rajesh Sahu (Botany, 25 years, ex-Allen, ex-Aakash). The teachers you meet at admission are the ones who teach the batch all year. Meet the faculty.
