Alirajpur is about 190 to 230 km from Indore by road, depending on the route, and a direct bus takes about 5 to 6 hours. Direct buses are few, so many families travel by car or change buses on the way. That settles one thing at the start: an Alirajpur student who chooses Indore will live in Indore, and comes home for holidays rather than weekends. So the institute you choose shapes not just the teaching, but your child’s whole year away.
Why Alirajpur students look to Indore for JEE and NEET
For a student in Alirajpur, Jobat or Chandrashekhar Azad Nagar (Bhabra) who wants an IIT or a government medical college, the nearest city with experienced JEE and NEET teachers is Indore. Kota is much farther, and a student there is a full day’s journey from home. JEE Advanced and NEET reward deep concept clarity and a lot of timed practice, which school teaching alone rarely provides.
The bigger risk is not the distance. It is a batch of 150 or more, where a student who has just arrived in a new city can fall behind quietly for months, and a family far away only finds out from the final result.
Why a small batch matters most when home is far
At Pramana every batch has at most 40 students, and every 20 students have a named mentor who meets each one for 15 minutes every week. If a student misses classes, slips in tests or seems low, the mentor notices that week. Parents in Alirajpur get a progress report every fortnight by phone or WhatsApp, covering chapter readiness, test trend, attendance and the mentor’s note.
Our faculty includes IIT graduates and former Allen and Aakash teachers with 14 to 25 years of experience, and the teachers you meet at admission are the ones who teach the batch all year.
Scholarships: why the test matters most from Alirajpur
For a family that will pay for a hostel as well as fees, a scholarship can make Indore possible. The free online Prashast scholarship test runs from 31 October to 30 November 2026 and can be taken from home in Alirajpur. It awards tuition scholarships of 25%, 50%, 75% or 100%, and the top 10 who meet the criteria also get free hostel and meals.
Scholarships are confirmed after an interview in Indore.
Where your child will stay
Hostels near the institute include Rishita Girls Hostel and SK Boys Hostel (see indorehostel.com). A hostel with meals costs about ₹6,500 to ₹15,000 a month, and a PG about ₹4,000 to ₹10,000. Our counsellors help families choose before the batch starts. Our guide to moving to Indore for coaching explains costs and living arrangements in detail.
