Khargone is about 120 km from Indore, roughly 3 to 3½ hours by bus. That is too far to travel every day for coaching, so most Khargone families face one real question: is it worth moving a child to Indore for Class 11 and 12, or for a drop year? This page is our honest answer, along with what the move involves.
Why students from Khargone choose to study in Indore
JEE and NEET are decided over two years of steady work: classes, practice, weekly tests and fixing mistakes. What makes the difference is not the city’s name but having experienced teachers who notice early when a student is falling behind. For many families in Khargone, Sanawad, Kasrawad and Maheshwar, that level of teaching and testing is easier to find in Indore.
Indore is also close enough to stay connected. A student can come home for a weekend or a festival in a few hours by bus, and parents can visit on short notice. That is a real advantage over sending a 16-year-old across the country to Kota.
Why a smaller batch matters more when your child lives away from home
A student who has just moved cities has two things to cope with at once: a harder syllabus and a new routine. In a batch of 150, a student who is struggling can go unnoticed for months. At Pramana, batches are capped at 40 students, and every 20 students have a named mentor who meets each of them for 15 minutes every week. When marks dip or attendance slips, the mentor sees it the same week.
Parents in Khargone get a progress report every fortnight by phone and WhatsApp, covering test marks, attendance and the mentor’s notes, so they know how things are going without having to be in Indore.
Why the first month away decides a lot
The first few weeks after a move are when students either settle into a routine or start slipping. We help families plan that month before it starts: which hostel, how the student gets to class, and who the family calls if anything goes wrong. Our counsellors stay in touch with parents through this period.
