Uday is Pramana's scholarship test for current and former Navodaya (JNV) students. It is free, taken online from home between 31 October and 30 November 2026, and awards tuition scholarships of up to 100% for JEE and NEET coaching at Geeta Bhawan Square, Indore. This page explains why we run a separate test for JNV students, and how it works.
Why a separate scholarship for Navodaya students
JNV students are selected on merit, and many come from families for whom coaching fees and city living costs are a real barrier. A capable student should not drop the JEE or NEET goal because of the fee. Uday puts the scholarship decision on one fair test, taken from home, with no registration fee.
Why JNV students often settle in well in Indore
Many Navodaya students have already lived away from home in a residential school. Hostel routines, shared rooms and managing their own day are familiar. What changes in Indore is the pace of JEE and NEET preparation. That is where a small batch and a named mentor help: at Pramana every batch has at most 40 students, every 20 students have a mentor who meets each one for 15 minutes every week, and parents get a progress report every fortnight.
Who can take Uday
Current and former JNV students.
Class 9, 10, 11, 12 and Class 12-pass students (droppers).
Goal: JEE, NEET, or undecided.
Bring your JNV ID card or school leaving certificate to the scholarship interview.

Scholarships are confirmed after an in-person counselling-cum-academic interview in Indore, after board exams, and renewed each year based on performance and attendance. Offers stand until seats fill.

Living in Indore

How to start
Register at tests.pramanalearning.com/uday: student's name, parent's mobile, class, city, your Navodaya Vidyalaya and goal. An OTP goes to the parent's mobile.
Book a test slot in Pramana Abhyas and take the test from home.

FAQs
Can former JNV students take Uday? Yes. Both current and former Navodaya students can take it, including Class 12-pass students.
Is there a fee? No. Registration and the test are free.
Does the scholarship cover hostel? Tuition scholarships go up to 100%. The top 10 who meet the qualifying criteria also get free hostel and meals.
Is coaching online? No. Pramana's coaching is offline only, in Indore. Only the test is taken online.
