By Priyanka Jain, Admissions Counsellor at Pramana Institute
Families in Vijay Nagar, Scheme 54, Scheme 78 and nearby colonies often ask us one question: why travel down AB Road when there are coaching classes close to home? It is a fair question, and the honest answer is that distance should be one factor, not the deciding one.
Why “nearest” is not always “best”
What decides a JEE or NEET result is the teaching, the size of the batch and how often a student’s mistakes are caught. A centre five minutes away with 150 students in a room can cost far more than ten extra minutes of travel. On the other hand, a trip that eats an hour each way is too long for a Class 11 student who also has school. So the right test is simple: is the daily trip under about 30 minutes, and is the class worth it?
Getting from Vijay Nagar to Geeta Bhawan
Our centre is at Geeta Bhawan Square on AB Road, about 5–6 km from Vijay Nagar, roughly 15–20 minutes by road depending on traffic. Our Class 11–12 batch runs 4:00–7:00 PM, so students can travel back before the late-evening rush. See the Indore local page for distances from other parts of the city.
What goes wrong when students choose by convenience alone
- A large batch where the student never asks a doubt.
- Tests taken but never reviewed one to one.
- Switching mid-year, which usually means paying twice.
What we offer
- Offline classes in batches of at most 40, with a mentor for every 20 students.
- IIT-trained Physics, Chemistry and Maths faculty and experienced NEET Biology teachers.
- Fees: ₹1,00,000 + GST a year for Class 11–12, payable in two instalments; scholarships of up to 100% of tuition through the free Prashast test, open until 30 November 2026.
Before you decide (the practical part)
- Do the trip once at 3:30 PM and once at 7:00 PM on a weekday.
- Sit in a class at two centres and compare batch size.
- Ask each centre how a missed test or a falling score is noticed.
- Read our guide on how to choose JEE and NEET coaching.
